Updated: Been here a few times and had some great beers!
I wasn't the biggest fan of the two beers I had here. They were a bit too bitter for my tastes, especially for what I would have expected for a Belgian beer.
That being said, I love the place. The bartender was great, the vibe is very laid back and they've got a few games to play if you want. I'd come back and try a few more beers.

Great beer and vibes. We bring our dog there all the time and everyone is always very friendly and respectful of his space. The regulars are a great crowd, like one big family. My second favorite bartender, Kyle, is one of the best in the biz - second only to top dog Cara.

Fantastic Spot, a real hidden gem, fantastic variety of beers on tap I truly enjoyed each one I tried. Well worth it, walk on down the alley and try them! Ohh and the staff is amazing

Stopped here as part of a brewery tour. Really enjoyed the selection of beers. There was a really unique beer with pistachio that I’d highly recommend (can’t remember the exact name for it).

Beers are very unique, which makes you want to try out each one. The place feels like a hidden spot and has arts and board games. I took a star off because the floor was extremely dirty. I don't expect a brewery to be sparkling clean, but then why not?

My very favorite hidden gem! Excellent Belgian style beers, fun experimentals and a super friendly, warm vibe. I have never been here without connecting with the beer tenders or guests over music since it’s close to the Oriental or any of multiple food options because it’s a cool area. You are missing out if you haven’t been here!

Nice little brewery down a back alley, hence the name. Nice sized beer garden. We both had the Hazy Side of the Moon double dry hopped hazy IPA 6.2%. Very decent. I have a small 4oz sample of the Vannilla your Rye barrel aged stout 10.4%. Very good indeed. No complaints

De Steeg is not a steam punk hipster brewery, it's a Johnny Depp, Edward Scissors Hands, Buffalo Trace Barrel Aged Scotch cool before it was cool... brewery. ('Most interesting seltzer I've ever had' according to the BFF)
Proper social distancing, incredible friendly staff, & candy cane Christmas vibes.
De Steeg Brewery is the brewery where you get "My Local Bar" brewery achievement award in life.
Highly recommend.

Beer +Sushi= Perfection. Only here. The best experience trying good beer and enjoying awesome sushi that I've had before. You have to come here and try this beer and food!

A lovely hidden gem in the heart of northern highlands/Berkley. Don't let the construction around the neighborhood deter you. The beer is strong and satisfying. The atmosphere is relaxed and there is a patio that provides privacy and a pleasant ambiance. Eldon was our server and pointed us to some delicious choices and offered knowledgeable recommendations for a group who knows nothing about craft beer. (Follow signs on Main Street to the entrance)
