Gateaux Bakery

Michelle did our cake and desert bar for my daughter’s wedding on 10/28/23. We had a snow storm come through that weekend and she delivered as promised even though it was quite a drive from Denver. She personally came to venue and set it all up for us. Everything was delicious and looked beautiful. A pleasure to work with and very very reasonable pricing, especially her big cakes. Gateaux is one of the last remaining bakeries that truly puts talent and creativity to their baked goods and other sweet treats! In it's own cute little store located in downtown Denver, it is stocked full of wonderful treats. For big events, grab one of their multi layered tear cakes with any assortment of filling and try some of the softest cream you've ever had in a cake ever. For small treats, they have a rotation of assorted bite sized pastries with a variation of decoration, flavors, and themes. I am a long term customer of gateaux starting from custom wedding and birthday cakes my family had gotten within the last year or two. Now I frequently stop by when I'm in the downtown area to grab their phonomenol shortbread cookies. This is where true craft meets taste, and in loving every calorie of it. Unfortunately I don't have any pictures but I will update everytime in fortunate enough to get in and buy some sweets!

As just a fat kid who loves sweets, this is the spot. Then we trusted them with our wedding cake and it was one of the highlights of my wedding and this bakery will always hold a spot in my heart. Ps they don't have you freeze your cake topper, we were just given a free cake for our 1 year anniversary and it was just as delicious as the day we got married.

Michelle and her team were phenomenal and I couldn’t have been happier with our cake! From start to finish she was attentive, professional, accommodating, and just an expert! Gateaux came highly recommended and I’m so thankful we were able to eat their delicious cake! Only wish is that I wanted all of their options—but she gave me the chocolate cake and the vanilla cake (with so many different icings inside) in our multi-tiered cake. It was beautiful, elegant, and everyone commented on how it was the best wedding cake they have tasted! We had 160 people and we had just enough leftover to share with some people after the reception. 10/10 recommend! I couldn't recommend them higher! They are on time, reasonably priced, the flavor is exquisite, and their beauty is second to none! I would recommend them for any occasion: birthdays, anniversaries, weddings, holidays, etc. They go out of their way to make everything above and beyond perfect! They do not disappoint! Oh and their fondant is not hard or dry; it's a delight to eat and nibble on! You will enjoy eating not only the amazing cake, but the decor as well! 🤍

I can’t say enough amazing things about Gateaux’s! Michelle (baker, owner) and her sister were a delight to work with for our wedding and grooms cake, and both turned out better than we could have ever hoped for. Many guests told us how this was the best cake they’ve ever had at a wedding! Also - if you’re from Houston area and you miss Common Bond…. This is your place!
