My mum has asked me to write a review as she was so happy with her afternoon tea at Zest. She has to have gluten free food due to having coeliac disease and we’ve been to a few afternoon teas and she’s not had many options/it’s very basic. However, we booked on to the Halloween special afternoon tea at Zest to take my son and asked for one of them to be gluten free. They went above and beyond to make her afternoon tea as good as ours. She had sandwiches, a panini, a quiche, chips and a selection of desserts - all were delicious. My afternoon tea was also great and my son loved his with all the Halloween goodies. Thank you so much. xx

Went for a Halloween themed afternoon tea, kids loved it and the venue looked nice with another Halloween decorations! Not only did the offer kids Halloween tea but for adults too...yummy!

I love suprises and Zest is one of them. I had seen the place from the road but never bothered trying it out. That has been my mistake having lived in the town for more than 4 years.
The food in here is excellent, not flashy but good ingredients prepared and served wonderfully.
The service is quick and friendly, from now on I will be a regular,

Utterly amazing drinks (recommend the milkshakes!) The staff are as nice and as funny as can be. The food is amazing, so is the presentation it is set out brilliantly. It looks heavenly, extremely clean and cozy. All round this café us absolutely flawless

Zest is a delightful cafe lounge, it is small and only has several inside tables but they are well spaced and pleasantly furnished. There are a few table outside on the pavement frontage to use on a an appropriate weather day. The menu is simple but the food is freshly made, I called in for a takeaway breakfast sandwich, it was cooked to perfection and consisted of a large plate sized 'bap' filled with 2 eggs 2 sausages 2 rashers of bacon, mushrooms and tomatoes all fresh and not microwaved and excellent value at £4-50. This cafe is an honest little gem in a town that has more than its share of eateries and take aways.
