I know people tend to write bad reviews of rest stop McDonalds, and some are warranted. But this particular location was fast, fresh, and delicious. Only downfall is that prices are nearly double a normal mcdonald’s.

Staff is EXTREMELY rude !!! They made my Mcchicken with the center bun of a Big Mac , then one of the buns had sesame seeds which my daughter is allergic to and to top it off there is a bug in my sweet tea !!! I called the store and spoke to the rude manager and she laughed and hung up on me. DO NOT EAT HERE

Number 1: Pink Slime
British celebrity chef Jamie Oliver is known as a strong advocate of healthy eating, and for years, he's been trying to tell the public about how terrible McDonald's food really is. In his show, Jamie Oliver's food revolution, he talked about how food processing companies in the US Mix leftover meat trimmings to make fillings for McDonald's patties and nuggets. Labeling the meat as "pink slime," Jamie was shocked when he discovered that ammonium hydroxide was being added to the mix. In his own words, he said that meat at the cheapest form, normally given to dogs, was being fed to humans. Jamie even recreated the goo on his show by throwing the leftover parts of a chicken carcass into a food processor to make nuggets. Kids in the UK who witnessed the experiment refused to eat the nuggets, while American kids had no problem eating them, since they looked exactly like the ones served at McDonald's. Calls for the ammonium hydroxide agent and "pink slime" process to be banned were made, and after months of Jamie campaigning on his TV show, McDonald's decided to abandon the practice. The fast food company stated that the decision was already made prior to Jamie's exposé, which is a bit too much of a coincidence to be true. This makes us wonder what other dirty secrets still remain uncovered behind those golden arches.

I guess the true cost of paying a higher minimum wage is that this McDonald’s can charge so much for anything on the menu. Almost $16 for a Big Mac meal is outrageously expensive. Staff is very slow and food is not fresh or hot. Avoid this over priced location and keep driving and eat off I95 and you will save a small fortune especially if you are traveling with young children.
If you choose to eat here after all you can teach your children that when a McDonald’s employee makes $15-18/hr then cost of hamburger also goes up and if there is a monopoly on what businesses can be on highway then prices will go up and when inflation keeps rising the dollar doesn’t go as far and prices go up.

The crew at this location is awesome. They’re quick, efficient and professional. I ordered bacon on my McMuffin by mistake but they swapped it out for no charge. I really appreciate it

Despite everything costing double the new inflation prices of any other McDonalds, the management here insist on severe understaffing and/or paying so little that inadequate staffing is inevitable. This is a rest stop and McDonalds’ captive audience for expensive quasi-food seems to be Lyft drivers sleeping in their cars. America is a sh—hole country.
