Been coming here since it was under the original owners management. Things have changed greatly since then. I really loved the food here being the only Dominican restaurant that isn’t a deli this was my go to. Reason I am giving 3 stars is because the last time I came here I was really thrown off there was absolutely no one in the restaurant food was OK- the rice tasted like it came from the bottom of the caldero and the beans weren’t fresh they had a burnt taste to them. A lot of things on their menu weren’t available they didn’t have lemonade, no guava or papaya. I ordered bistec encebollado and then was told they didn’t have cube steak they only had churrasco which is a skirt steak. No big deal but not the same at all & when it came out there was more onions then steak. Also there’s nothing on their menu that states that they now add gratuity to the check.. In all restaurants it is always stated on the menu for a party of 6 or more gratuity is automatically added to the check- which is fine I was so taken back to say the least when a 16% tip was automatically added to our check for a party of 4 people I found it kind of rude especially when they’ve NEVER done this in all the years I’ve ate here it was really sending a message like they thought we weren’t going to tip?? By doing so it ultimately took money out of the servers pocket bc she would of gotten cash and been tipped 20%.

the food used to be amazing on 2020, i dont know what happend on 2021, but i wanted to show it off to some friends and i was embarrased, the food was not even close as good. it took 50 min to arrived to the table and my friends asked for fry fish and they got wet fish, like how mis comunication and lack of attention this place has, our waiter was great and kind, we left him a great tip, yet it was for his service not for the food, my friends and i will never come back here

Everytime I'm in Danbury, I always come to this place and have a drink. Staff is great people music is always good. The food is great, love my spanish meals. Drinks are good too well prepared. Good friendly people come here and the environment is really great. If if your near and want to eat and have a drink come to this place.

I came here with my husband today. The food was good, it had flavor and the portions were filling, however the service was not the greatest. One waitress brought food to the table and set it down, but we told her that it was not our order. She took the plates and came back a few seconds after to bring the same plates she gave to us to the couple next to us. We told them to order new food because she had placed it in front of us previously and for safety reasons, it would be best to get fresh food. She took it back and they eventually got new food. Then, we waiting 50 minutes for our food and we got our food and appetizer at the same time. The service needs some improvement. Update: The owner replied “We apologize for the inconvenience, management already took action on the situation,unfortunately we were training a new waitress at the moment. We apologize and please come visit us again so that we can make sure you have a better experience.” However this still does not explain away the poor service and why we waited 50 minutes for our food and appetizer. I would also like to add that they allowed people to walk to the restrooms without a mask on and did not supply toilet paper. Other restaurants I have been to require that guests walk around with their masks on if they are not at their respective tables.
