Not only is Cafe Des Delices Dalkeith
a great place for day time coffee and a pastry or a tasty baguette, try their Dinner Three Course Menu.
Tonight’s delicious French Onion Soup, Roast Lamb with crushed potato and a minted jus followed by Tarte Au Citron were par excellence.

It is worth it. Food is delicious and the staff are friendly. Coffee is not too bad either.

why 1 star?
well for staterters, staff does not greet you in any form.
secondly, when you order take away, they don't call your name our or even remind you about your coffee.
Third, the barrista that made my coffee on the 12th of December was really rude.
Coffee was really average and pricey compare with other options in the area.

Went for Monday lunch as it's in the entertainment book. I had the all day breakfast and found it average. Toast was chewy, bacon overcooked and ordinary beef sausages. Mushrooms and poached eggs were good. My wife had the avocado on turkish bread toast with smoked salmon. Generous with salmon but ordinary quality. Friendly staff. We didn't try the pastries and patisseries which looked much nicer. So in summary drop in if you're doing something in the area but not a special destination
