The Olive Tree

Got to be my favorite after breakfast spot to come for a hot cup of coffee. So early in the morning before my job have me a Greek salad. Please try the chicken it's really good. Right off the boulevard The waitresses are really nice the black and catfish is pretty good but the chicken is in the salad is the best

This place is amazing. We ordered a Caesar chicken wrap, an order of French toast, with a side of fries and grits. Everything was absolutely delicious. The fries were those crispy on the outside tender in the middle. So good! Staff is super friendly and the prices are like from the 80s. First time here but will definitely be back!

The Olive tree restaurant is a potentially inviting place to eat. The food is fresh and good the service is attentive but the environment is problematic. The floors appear to be ceramic the walls are painted drywall apparently the ceiling has no sound dampening material. We happened in there on Sunday at the lunch hour and the sound was deafening. The cacophony was almost ear splitting. People were behaving themselves but the sound and the echoes and the attempt people were making to be heard over all the noise made it very unpleasant.

If I didn't know better, I would think I was overseas! The food is classic and the taste is perfect! Lamb off the cone and everything is basically home made. Portions are great and the price is right. The wait staff is wonderful and the owners are very personable. If you're in Crystal River, stop into the Olive Tree for an awesome Gyro!

We just had a full-on Greek meal that was fantastic - from Saganaki (Flaming cheese) to Baklava. This is home-cooked, authentic Greek food better than some really fancy Greek restaurants we have been to across the country. Waitstaff and owner/family were friendly & funny and the place was busy! I had the Greek platter which was a great opportunity to try marinated pork (fork-tender and delicious), huge pieces of gyros meat that was grilled crusty and juicy, and dolemades that were a little bit of heaven with a light lemon sauce and grilled pita. And the tzatziki was great with the rich meats. Hubby had the avgolemono soup (very good) & pastitsio that was fabulous too. The portions are very generous and the prices are so good. Pretty Greek murals on walls. We sat at the counter - our fav - it's like dinner theater. If you are in Crystal River, stop and have some fabulous Greek food! They also serve breakfast and lunch with a menu full of choices other than Greek. The fish & chips seemed extremely popular (sole, cod, haddock) and looked really tempting. We will be going back very soon to try other menu items. Somewhat limited hours for dinner - Fri & Sat till 7:00.
