Bonez

Bonez is the BEST Mexican food in Crested Butte. I normally take tons of photos of my food, but it was so good that I ate it too fast!! I’m not drinking right now, and they made me the best virgin Watermelon Margarita in the world! We got chicken fajitas, pork carnitas tacos, the poke bowl, and the kiddos meals are so delicious, too. Since this restaurant is so popular, go early! We went by before 5pm to get our names on the list, and waited for 20 minutes (because we had a party of 8!). Since it’s on the far end of town, if you’re staying on Mt. Crested Butte, and get off at the stop at the far end of town, and it’s right there. Enjoy!

Thank You for the best 15th Wedding Anniversary Dinner Ever! I am on a ski trip to Crested Butte, CO from Louisiana. My Husband and I wanted a romantic/ Fun dinner after a wonderful Ski Day. So, I placed my name with the host for a 1.5 hour wait. Then we walk in the snow on Main Street/ Downtown for a cute shopping experience. As we approached the table a waiter placed water, chips, and 3 types of homemade salsa on the table. Each dip was a balance of unique sweet and spicy favors. I was warned by the wait staff that the yellow pineapple salsa was the hottest. My server suggested some cocktails of the evening. We decided on the top shelf margaritas on the rocks. The top shelf margaritas were strong but sweet, the bar keep has mastered their margarita recipe. We were very hungry after our walk. So, we ordered the table side Guacamole and Queso Blanco right away. Which was a great choice! Also, the Shrimp Fajitas had the juiciest pop in your mouth shrimp, that I have ever tasted. Don’t forget to stop by the host to get some great souvenirs. I purchased the black/red mermaid Bonez shirt, and a grey Bonze hat. I could not believe this small town has the most fanatic work staff from the front of the house Manager to the chiefs. This restaurant has a great program to reward their teammates. If you tip the minimum of $500 the owner will match your tip, WOW. It was well worth it keep up the great work! I am the first to ring the Tip Bell for January 2022!

We tried to find a good place to eat and was highly disappointed. The meat was too dry and not a lot of flavor, everything was simple. The cups smelled like chlorine. The food was too expensive for how simple it is. The appetizer was the best (guacamole with chips) I highly recommend them. The service was very nice however the food is overpriced.

Food is great, good enough I picked up some Guac Salt along the way! It's not surprising considering that Secret Stash owns it 🤔. I had a Pinapple Jalapeño drink and man itnwas tasty and spicy. Exactly what I asked for. Service was right on and the experience was perfect. Will be going back when we hit up da Butte again!

You really need a 6th star. Bonez is that good. Our party had enchiladas (best i have had - ever), surf & turf fajitas (the shrimp is awesome and meat is cooked on the red side of mid-rare, i.e., perfect) and fish tacos (awesome fish). We sat at the bar to save a 45 minute (by the time we left it was 90 minutes) wait. The bartender (a young woman) had excellent recommendations. They will serve you a seven tequila flight but you have to ask, not on the menu. Great atmosphere, everything was perfect.

I had looked at the menu previous to our trip and this was on the list as must stops. We ordered the stop light chips and salsa which the salsa was good but the chips seemed like they’d been sitting around a while. I got the shrimp tacos and honestly I’ve had better. There wasn’t a lot of flavor and the shells were dry. Definitely not my favorite tacos or even in the top ten. I had the Cadillac margarita which was ok. I gave them three stars mainly because of the location and our service was good.
