I went to check out sale items at the check out counter. And I noticed sale items were charged at full price. It went from $1.97 to $8.99 per item on the strawberries and blueberries. The young man who was managing at the time said I grabbed the wrong size item. But when I went back to view the placement of the items, the only product in front of the sign stating $1.97 were the large ones. The small ones were in a different section far away from the sale signs. And he put back my return large items in front of the sale sign. He lied to me and was further promoting the lie by keeping the large items in front of the sale sign with the small pkg sale items no where near the sign. He was rude, indifferent, and callous. It was Sunday night, April 3, 2022 about 830 pm. In all the other Supermarket chains I have marketed in, I have never experienced this type of callous indifference by the Service personnel. I don't plan on ever returning to this Branch of Shaw Market in the future.

They've done a good job with not running out of sale items, started item limits and started end capping more. There's a difference between stocking up and hoarding and I'm glad it has been addressed.

This used to be my go-to grocery store, but I'm done. They switched to paper bags, which is fine, but they don't have handles making large trips more of a pain. Registers are also scarcely open even at the business times and even when there are extra employees they stand around hanging out instead of bagging or checking people out.
Worse than that is their COVID policy. They require masks, but don't enforce them at all, meaning half the customers walk around maskless without being told to leave. A policy without enforcement isn't any better than a suggestion. Plenty of other grocery stores nearby, so no need to keep coming here.

It’s not safe to buy your food from this store. I’ve returned food twice now that was expired and have even had to report expired food to customer service that I’ve seen while shopping. I’ve spoke to the manager about my findings and it doesn’t seem he took this issue seriously. I’ve seen meat, specifically pork tenderloin that was expired 4 days past the expiration date still out for sale. I’ve purchased Mott’s sliced apples that come in a box (prepackaged) that were expired for almost 2 WEEKS and brown when I took them out of the package to put them in the fridge. This is a product I buy for my toddler and shouldn’t have to worry about making my child sick. This is gross negligence that Shaws continues to operate and sell expired food to their customers… in a pandemic none the less. My child has a compromised immune system and the expired products they continue to sell could potentially kill someone. My last straw was the soup I just bought tonight. I’m recovering from food poisoning (how ironic!?) and low and behold the soup I purchased from Shaws is expired. I was a few bites in when I noticed something wasn’t right and checked the label. This is disgusting!! I wonder how many people have been poisoned from the lack of care and gross negligence exhibited by Shaws while they continue to sell expired food.

Lots of customers clearly don’t care about the mask requirement policy because walking through your store on 8/10/21 about 95% of shoppers (adults and children) were maskless.
Clearly it states on the sign outside your store anybody over 3 needs a mask and I guess nobody bother to follow the rules.
If I was manager I’d have somebody posted at each entrance enforcing rules. It shouldn’t get to the point customers are walking freely through the store maskless.
This includes from the time you open the doors until the time you close. You have the right to go up and tell customers to wear a mask, provide them one or simply ask them to leave.
Should the store union get involved because they’ll love to hear this about the maskless customers roaming your store?!

The best shows I've ever been into I really enjoy going into this one everything is so clean the produce is superb and the customer services beyond what you'd ever expect keep up the good job

Store was well kept. Some items were out of stock but there were plenty of signs apologizing for the stock shortage. Staff was very helpful and friendly.
