Copper Beech

Every time we come there a strong family feel and are always greeted with a friendly smile. The food is always lovely and whilst previously we have opted to alternate between copper beech and castle carvery to support both local businesses however we now choose to only support copper beech due to the quality of food and service. The carvery is always lovely and the veg and potatoes are fresh unlike their competitor. Nothing is to big or small copper beech. Another thing as a family we love is that if we choose some carvery and some main menu or from the kids menu, that staff will come and give us a warning when the meals are due to arrive at the table to allow those having a carvery to get their food so all food is at the table at the same time meaning it is like eating at home altogether at the same time

Really surprised and disappointed that with the location on a retail site that primarily requires driving to, that there was only 1 offering of non-alcoholic lager/beer/stout available, being Becks Blue. No other choices and nothing on draught. Generally visit for carvery and amazing cakes with family.

Arrived at 4pm to have an early carvery dinner. Most tables were reserved but found somewhere to sit easily. Ordered via the app at the table, drinks were served almost immediately and our food slips came just after. No queue for the carvery and there were three meats on offer, turkey, gammon or beef. With a yorkshire pudding, stuff & veg. What I would say was that the yorkshire was chewy so could have been fresher, the veg choices were peas, carrots, mashed swede, cauliflower cheese, mashed potato & roast potatoes. Personally I hate cauliflower so would have loved broccoli but for £9.99 we couldn't really grumble. Plenty of food, choice could have been wider but all in all a tasty meal.

We came to eat on the way to the cinema and the food is normally good. I always have the chicken and bacon house salad as I’m dieting. Normally you get strips of nice chicken breast but this time it was pieces of chicken which looked like they came out of a packet from the supermarket. Processed and watery.

Very popular place which was a good sign for us as we had never been before and it always is a positive thing when you see a place bush it shows that it’s a great spot. Food was delicious, I had steak and it wasn’t dry or fatty, my partner had gammon and he was really happy with it as usually it’s tough. Service was quick and efficient despite the amount of tables being full. Staff were nice and friendly, prices for food was very reasonable.
