Olive Pit

This was the main reason I stopped in corning, needless to say if you love olives this is the place to be. I love the different variety of Olives that you simply won't find in a normal grocery store, the dry black olives, the jalapeno cream cheese stuffed olive, etc. Also the cafe is great, try the mufeta Olive sandwich, and an olive oil milkshake.

I Love my olives I ordered from Olive Pit. First time I bought olives from here my husband and I stopped in on our way back to Portland. We were impressed, so if we ever drive to California from our home in Oregon we make sure we stop, but sometimes you are not open, or you can’t wait for someone to be traveling in that direction, you can always order online. The shipping is fast and reasonable as well.

This was or first time here. We found the place to be clear we'll organized and the people were really friendly. Plus I don't know what they were cooking at the restaurant in side the but the whole store smelled yummy. I'm just sad we didn't have time to order something. All I can say is if you like olives you wilove this place. I can't wait to get home to try my olives 😋

Wow! Great place! Bacon Jam burger was fantastic. Plenty of beverages to choose from, including an entire line of balsamic flavored shakes. I had a pineapple balsamic shake and loved it. Also a storefront selling every type of stuffed olive you can think of and a few I never imagined. If you’re in the area it’s well worth the “pit” stop.

The cafe is a great place to get a quick meal. Recent lunch was a build your own vegetarian sandwich with an olive salad, muffaletta. The muffaletta takes over but that's fine because it's a interesting flavor and texture. ( A little messy so easier to be stopped while eating.) Clean bathrooms on the store side... And lots of olives in the store.

After seeing multiple signs along I5 , I couldn't WAIT to stop and eat at Olive Pit! What a HUGE disappointment when we got there. It's a tiny little Cafe, that you walk up to a window to order your burger! That's all they had burgers, chips in a bag that you take off a clip board. We were expecting a Restaurant, where we could sit down after driving 4 hours and have a nice late breakfast. And the site attached was just as impressive. Sure, they have Olives for sale LOTS of olives! In fact, if you can think of a concoction for olives to be jarred in... They probably have it. But, I wanted to be able to taste these odd concoctions, before I spent $12 on a small jar and they didn't offer samples. Another let down 😭 glad we stopped, so now we know and I swore to myself I'd tell EVERYONE. Unless you are not really that hungry or just want olives from a tourist trap, don't waste time from your trip by seeking this place out. Its not as exciting as their giant road signs lead you to believe.
