Cafe Milano

The pasta with meat sauce and mushrooms was horrible. Or had no seasoning in it. Just bland taste that had a taste of like a tangy lemon taste to it. And hardly any sauce! I had to take it home and jazz it up w/ more marinara, seasoning etc. Because before i took it home from work I had to add a little of the salad dressing just to give it a taste ton where i could eat it! The house salad is bout the best thing to eat. The lemon chicken that's coated with an egg isn't too bad but when i had that, that flavor and the spaghetti noodles taste the same. Only salad from here on out!

I ate here on 2/14/21. I ordered the seafood pasta (shrimp, oysters, crab, scallop and mussels). The food was thrown together very sloppy on a bed of pasta. Besides the horrid visual appearance the shrimp and crab were extremely over cooked and the shrimp were rubber. There was a hair ball in one of my oysters. I do not recommend this restaurant. The customer service was very good tho.

Unfortunately dinner did not go well. The waitress appeared to be new or just young so she had a hard time. She got our order completely wrong. She brought out the wrong drinks. Then when the food came out it was wrong again. I ordered the lasagna and she brought out an alfredo pasta dish. I waited for my correct meal for several minutes (understandable). When she brought the lasagna it wasn't fully cooked. I was able to stick my finger into a cold center. When I brought it up to the waitress, she apologized and took it. She returned and advised that management said that they could just heat it up and bring it back. The waitress also emphasized that it would be free. I visited Café Milano to enjoy a good meal not a free one. I had never been told by a decent restaurant that "we can just re-heat and bring it back, and be satisfied because it's free". That was a terrible customer service experience. I paid for what we did have and left.

The atmosphere was very homely. Dim lighting and the sound of Italian opera add to the comfort of the experience. The food was very good. Chicken was fried to excellently and the seafood pasta was great as well. Good portions with friendly service. The martini I had tasted very good, although perhaps a bit weak. Would definitely recommend stopping by if you visit the area alot.
