Citizen Grill

This is a really nice bar/restaurant, comfy and casual and with excellent food. The menu is fairly long, from ambitious steaks and seafood to burgers and wings. After four visits we've only counted one miss-step, but everything else has been so good we let it go. Some things we've tried that are excellent include their tortilla soup, chef's salad with or without salmon, bacon jam sliders, mashed potatoes, and fish & chips. The one miss-step which still has us scratching our heads are the grilled chicken wings. They're perfectly grilled, juicy with a crunchy coat, but served dry - no hot sauce. So they taste...dry. We asked for some hot sauce, the waitress admitted that's a common request, and in 10 minutes was back with the perfect buffalo wings hot sauce - 50% butter and 50% Frank's hot sauce. Once we'd coated the wings they were delicious, dipped in the blue cheese that came with the original wings. There's a great indoor/outdoor patio room here so it's fun on nice days, and the inside is dark-wood clubby. So far we've had nothing but bright, cheery, attentive waitresses, which is increasingly rare these days. Put it all together and this is a very good restaurant, certainly worth returning to on a regular basis for lunch or dinner.

Amazing food love the large patio! Went with a group of ladies for ladies our night on the patio mushroom risotto is delicious and chicken Marcella one of my favorites! Large wine list & cocktails something for everyone! Huge fans on the patio kept it nice and cool it was very comfortable for us we will be back!

Really friendly staff an very large covered patio that is dog friendly. Food was good but could be better for the price. I like the crab cake appetizer but only one? Sons burger was ordered medium but came medium well. Also had the farmers salad., good but too many green beans. Overall I would like to try again, due to the nice atmosphere and go a different route with the order, seafood?

Ambience was casual but very nice! We were warmly greeted and led to a nice table inside although seating was available outside as well. Wait staff was very courteous and candid with recommendations. Food was excellent, well prepared and delivered in a timely fashion. Portions were huge so deciding to forgo appetizers was a great decision. Highly recommended!

The food is amazing. I had the lobster pasta absolutely fantastic. My wife had blackened shrimp Risotto of course I took a bite and almost ordered a plate to go, that is how good it was. One of the best meals I had at a restaurant in along time. We live in the Kingwood/ Porter area and we feel it is worth the drive. My wife has already said we will be going here on her birthday.
