Canasta Kitchen

Great food. Cute outdoor dining area. Super friendly service. Every single bite of the Desayuno Chapin made me smile and say “mmmmmm!” I will absolutely dine here again. Very excited about the left over platano and home made tortilla I’m taking home as a left over snack;) Plenty of seating available at 430 on a Sunday.

My boyfriend and I ordered tacos. Omgoodness..they were huge..it came in twos. There was so many delicious ingredients, meat, avocado, onions, cilantro!, cabbage, i believe. It was awhile ago that we went. I should have taken a picture! The service was perfect. Our waiter was prompt, kind, and efficient Thank you. A perfect experience to a perfect day for us!

Most importantly, the staff was very welcoming, and pleasant and knowledgeable....the food was pretty good. I could see into the kitchen, and it looked clean, but the baseboards really needed a deep cleaning and a coat of paint. Minor issue in the scheme of things but...alao there was some food splatter on the wall behind us. But the food was decent. Oh, abd they serve vegan pastor, which was very pleasing.

I've been to Canasta Kitchen quite a few times and even though the food is good...it lacks good customer service . I went to have dinner there tonight only to seat myself and wait 15 minutes for someone to even acknowledge that I was there...I called them on the phone directly 3x in order to get someone to come out. I ate my dinner ..... But left there not very happy with the service. It's always appreciated when you can still have that human interaction with small businesses.

I was invited to come try this new spot. It is located near or around the Todos Santos Park. Ok so, they have a private parking lots but not too many spots I'd say maybe about 12 cars? There's street parking but a little hard to get when it's busy hours. I only got to taste appetizers but that was awesome by itself. So here's a breakdown of what I had: Street Tacos: Platoons Machos, Flautas, and Empanadas! My favorite was the empanada and flautas. When they were served they were nice, hot, and crunchy not soggy at all. The best I've had anywhere!!! Oh, I can't take spicy food as much, the flautas were spicy but they were too good to pass up! So I had it with orchata mmmm so good!!! Must come here!!!
