Slammers

Seriously one of my favorite places in the world. Pizza is tasty, drinks are good, and it’s a great place to hang inside or on the patio. More importantly, though, it’s a place where everyone feels welcome and has a great time. Not only is Slammer’s one of the country’s few remaining lesbian bars, the staff and regulars (and the people who put on events there) have made a true community that feels safe, joyful, welcoming, and special. After moving away to somewhere that rarely felt safe for queer people and coming back to Columbus after two years, going to Slammer’s has been healing and joyful. You should come here, come often, and tip very well.

The bartenders (Jess and Ellie) were super friendly. The drinks were strong yet delicious. An extremely welcoming and festive place - the music is the best from the 2000’s at least when I went. All in all a great experience. Especially want to note Jess & Ellie went out their way to help out someone who had too many drinks, & helped him get home safely. Would come here again 100%.
