Riverview Restaurant

What a great end to a long hike in Breakneck Ridge! To start-off, the Focaccia was one of the greatest I’ve ever had! The oysters were so fresh. The Riverview Fish & Shellfish Stew was delightful! The broth was so flavorful. And the waitress was the sweetest person! If you ever come to Cold Spring, check this place out!! FYI: this place is cash-only. They do have an ATM machine.

We only stopped here for a drink before meeting up with friends for dinner at another restaurant. We searched online for outdoor seating since it was nice outside during our weekend visit to West Point and found this place. So we can't review the food, and drinks are drinks, but our server was extremely nice and the view of the river was enjoyable.

The super cute family-owned restaurant is filled with beautiful people who welcome you like someone is welcoming you at your home. My husband bought me here while we were driving around cold spring to celebrate our engagement anniversary. We came here only for a pizza but we stayed for the desserts and we were so happy about our decision. We tried fungi pizza that came with mushrooms and spinach - the taste was very subtle and the crust was so good. It almost felt like we were eating a naan pizza. Naomi suggested we try tiramisu and it was soo good. She bought us a tiny dessert-tasting platter that had Gianduja, Keylime pie with yummy raspberry sauce, Egg Nog creme brûlée (so delicious), and Semi sweet chocolate mousse. We are surely going back! Also, if you go around sunsets you can enjoy your dinner with a very beautiful view. Also, this is a cash-only place to carry a lot of cash and if you don’t have then there is an ATM in the restaurant.

Absolutely amazing food with a wide variety of options (pictured are the Caribbean beef skewers). Excellent wine choices, great service, world class view of the Hudson River. This is a cash only establishment and make a reservation (phone or online), especially for the weekend dining crowd (you'll need it).

The restaurant has a very good vibe and river view. The appetizer is tasty. Main dishes are delicious with daily specials. We also ordered tiramisu as dessert and it is the best. The waiters are kind and friendly too. Only drawback is that the only accept cash and check. However, ATM is available on site and the fee is reimbursed.

Point #1 I had to give 1 star in order to write a review. Point #2 this place should be demolished. Point #3 I went here after reading good reviews and it is deplorable. The stench of septic tank was sickening. The property looks like it should be condemned. Horrendous experience. The only view is of the parking lot. I never made it inside to try the food because the stench and appearance was disgusting. Please close.

Tables are rocky. View is magnificent but food could be better. We had seafood stew that was watered down, with mild taste thats if you can use that word. Didn't really taste like anything. Great view but that's about it. They make plenty of different Pizza that looked good on other people's tables not sure how it tasted but if that's all they can produce then I'm not impressed. All around i expected much more. Place has potential to be a destination itself but needs someone with a vision pulling strings.
