Skyline Chili

Skyline has a basic menu of course so you know what is being offered. Chili, spaghetti, cheese and hot dog are the ingredients. I did have a tasty and fresh bacon cheddar wrap. Too early for spaghetti and chili :). Service was excellent and our server was very nice, attentive and helpful, especially with my two year old grandson. The restaurant is clean and has plenty of space and seating. The high chair was helpful also.

Skyline Chili is a local fast food franchise featuring dishes made with kima sauce, pasta, cheese, and sometimes hot dogs. The ambiance is like a Greek diner but with all new, standardized furnishings. They do a lot of carry out and have gotten very good at packing it so it's less likely to leak on your car upholstery. One thing that must be absolutely clear: There is no chili, no Firehouse, Verde, or Texas Roja, on Skyline's menu. "Chili" on Skyline's menu is kima. If you like aromatic food and haven't eaten kima before, you're in for a treat! The best way to prepare you for your first visit to Skyline Chili is this - Imagine your bachelor uncle is at home watching the game and gets a craving for pastitsio. He doesn't want to miss the game, so at half time he starts to simmer a little ground beef with bay, cinnamon, clove, onion, wine, tomato, and olive oil. After the game, his sauce is ready but he's out of penne. He has spaghetti noodles so he uses those instead. He didn't plan for this meal and obviously doesn't have any bechamel sauce just hanging around, so he reaches for the shredded cheddar left over from Taco Night. What he made is a Skyline Chili menu item called "Three-Way". If he has diced onions left over after making the sauce, and decides to scatter them on top of his dish, that's a Skyline "Four-Way".
