Meakwan Thai Cuisine

I have been to this place 3 times and it went from good to horrible. The last time I took 2 friends and the first 3 things we tried to order they were out of. The waiter said "sorry we are out of all seafood". WHAT!? I'm sorry but in the restaurant biz that is a HUGE red flag. The waiter (owner?) became rude when he saw we were surprised that they ran out of food. Oh and we were the only table in the place at 2PM. We left and will not return. Most of the booths are ripped. Just seems like they are close to going out of biz IMO.

The food is still good but the service has gone way down. You literally have to ask the waiter to bring water after you've been sitting for 10 minutes. Never came back to ask if we needed anything without us waiving him down. We came in a group of 6 people. Only 4 of which ordered food as two were just hanging out. When we get the bill, we were automatically charged an 18% gratuity which is in my opinion for great service, not for barely mediocre service. This policy also isn't posted anywhere. It's sad that I used to love coming here for the food and service but I have really almost stopped because the service is pretty terrible now. I even asked the waiter about the fee and he persisted to say it was like other restaurants. I stated if that was policy, it should be posted somewhere and we should have a choice as to what we want to tip as tips are earned, not mandatory. The rude waiter, than tells me that now I know for next time. Horrible customer service.

3 strikes on my first visit. 1.They apparently don't have take out menus. I was told to look up thier menu on Yelp. 2. After asking for hot sauce to go..the staff put the packet on the edge of the counter closest to them..so I had to reach all the way over the counter while holding my child..barely within reach. 3. My Togo order didn't have any plastic wear nor napkins. The atmosphere was akward, as if I was an big inconvenience. Not looking forward to the food...

There is nothing bad on this menu. Everything on it is absolutely delightful. It is tasty, flavorful, delicious. Having said that, I now need to go on a rant.... Mango chicken, that is all you need to know. Mango Chicken, it is absolutely amazing. Mango chicken, it can bring world peace, mango chicken can cure illness, mango chicken can give you super powers.... Ok, it can't do any of that but it is so damn delicious you will feel like it has.
