Chicago Taco Authority

We love CTA! The food is perfectly consistent every time, well seasoned, & high quality. I don’t eat red meat very often & am picky about it, but I ALWAYS get their steak taco. We also love the Chicken Tinga and the Shrimp tacos. In a normal world where you can eat in a restaurant, we come in frequently as a family, & are very comfortable - they have high chairs & we always all feel welcome. We are very loyal & you should be too!

Chicago Taco Authority is a MUST visit. The food is great, the staff is friendly, and the atmosphere is so much fun! Everything we ate was delicious (especially the flan!), and very reasonably priced. If you love the aesthetic of subway systems, but also love cleanliness CTA is the place for you. The thematic charm continues through the restrooms, which are remarkably clean. I was so enjoying our visit, I forgot to take more pictures for my review, guess I'll have to go again soon!

I’m sure their main menu is good, but I have yet to try their main location offerings . I first tried them at a pop up event outside the city. I ordered the “lechon” tacos with beans and rice as a $13 plate. Now lechon is something I know being Filipino. I tried a taco and it was ok. But lechon? That’s pushing it a little for me. I’ve have carnitas before at one of the best carnitas places in Chicago and it’s more on the lines of that than lechon. The rice and beans are above average, but typical at a local Mexican restaurant.
