Amazing experience! Loved the food! Amazing reasonably priced food and tasted so good! They gave a decent portion of the main dish and rice with my meal. It’s in a hard to find area but is worth your time coming here. It’s quick, cheap, and great food!

I haven't eaten there since before the pandemic started. The quality is not the same. I ordered my usual and favorite spicy chicken. However, I was given a lot of scraps and not much chicken, also the veggies were omitted from my meal.

I used to work downtown and this was one of those spots that if you didn't know about - you may never find, because of where it is located - in a very wide alleyway off of LaSalle Street, all the way in the back.
THIS IS WHAT I CALL A DESTINATION LOCATION, only people IN THE KNOW realize just how great this food is!
I ALWAYS order their WORLD FAMOUS SPICY HOT CHICKEN. They serve it over rice and they have sugar snap peas, carrot shavings, onions, green peppers and the best tasting SPICY SWEET sauce.
I have eaten here in over 15 years but it looked exactly as I remember and the food is exactly the same. One thing FOODIES love is consistency - that is why I had to review this place. Man was it fun to remember how good this stuff is as I ate it on the way home to McHenry County - a 60 minute drive, as my sister drove me home in my own car just so I could do a HOMER SIMPSON - GULP!!!
Try this spot and I expect you cant stop yourself from offering feedback on some of the BEST SPICY HOT CHICKEN IN THE CITY OF CHICAGO. Now hurry up and GET U SUM!

Silk Road is killer, the crab rangoons are so buttery and delicious, and the spicy chicken rocks. No question about freshness here they have a window into the kitchen where you'll typically see chef's cutting up veggies or cooking on one of the big wok's. A must try if you're working in the loop.

I've only had the spicy chicken but I like it. not a lot of options for Chinese in loop outside of panda and this is pretty good.

Ive been a huge fan of Silk Road for the past 20 years, Amazing how time flies. I use to drive downtown just to get lunch at their jackson and Franklin location. The lasalle location is the last location left. The Spicy Chicken is one of a kind in my opinion. Cant wait to go back again and again.

This place is already known to many Chicago financial district lunch goers. Good service and good foods under budget. They've continued to serve their famous spicy chicken for more than two decades from the original Jackson location to current W Arcade Pl location. All foods are prepared onsite. Popular dishes are prepared and ready to serve. some menu they cook after you placed your order. Waiting time is less than 5 mins.

I come here when I used to work back in the in the 90's. Now I work in Downtown Chicago again and brings back memories eating in with my friends. The place is still the same and the menu has not changed. Yup it is all about the SAUCE! They have this sauce has been kept secret works everytime because their customers have grown gets jammed packed during lunch hours is no joke! It is well worth the wait. Ask for the sweet n sour spicy chicken combo will send an electrifying taste in your mouth will leave you savoring every bite. Welcome to Silk Road Amigos!
