Super cool vibes at this place! We got there early, about 5-ish, as we had reservations at 6pm but our plans got moved up, and the staff graciously accommodated our change. Beware that before you can even go up the elevator, you have to pass inspection from the the doorman at the bottom. Not sure if we would have gotten in wearing jeans and tees, he was pretty intense (in a very businesslike way). The food is pretty expensive but expertly cooked and prepared scrumptiously. We had a Caesar salad, a steak salad, a winter salad (radicchio, arugula, sprouts, butternut squash, figs, goat cheese, walnuts - DIVINE), and chicken satay skewers. The only flaw was the steak on the steak salad - a bit too done for my sister's liking, as she asked for medium and it was medium well in the middle. Otherwise, all dishes came out at the perfect temperature and lively presentation, with the salads also being perfectly dressed with a skim of dressing. For a treat after your meal, go out past the bar and out on the rooftop to take in the downtown view. Remarkable and memorable!

I admit I couldn't have found this place without my friends who have been there before lol But what a great surprise seeing the outdoors from inside on a rainy Chicago morning. The French toast is amazing, love that you can get pitchers of drinks. The atmosphere is chill on a Sunday brunch, perfect with football on the big screen. Would definitely come back.

The music was upbeat and the vibe was chill. it felt like a luxury oasis in the middle of the urban jungle. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a fun night out with friends or a romantic date night. IO Godfrey is a great rooftop lounge in Chicago.

First off this is my favorite go to place all year around especially the summer time! They advise you(I advise you) to make reservations. They normally ask for a deposit but that goes towards your bill☺️. They have the most amazing drinks 🍹. I recommend getting a pitcher unless you’d like a particular drink. I also recommend getting the Godfrey roll (sushi) it’s the best additive thing ever! Great steak tacos snd mini burgers. Their staff is 100% top notch excellent customer service In every way! Each and every person from downstairs to the door. My first time there we hooked up with people next to us and got more drinks. It’s a great view (especially at night)and just overall a good vibe.
