Plaza Azteca

I felt like I walked in a fiesta. The place was lively with exciting people celebrating birthdays, friends, and family. Friendly servers. Food were good, but It’s a bit bland especially the table-side guacamole and the fajitas. Good thing it came with tasty sides. The best thing was the beer; it’s refreshingly cold. We enjoyed our dinner, so we are going back for more. 👌🏼😊👍🏼

Update: Alright so I was here once before and had a really bad experience but I came here on Taco Tuesday and have to change my review. Even though they're a little shady with increasing their tips on the bill (even when you tip 20%) I guess a couple bucks doesn't really matter just expect that to happen. My whole family of five ate like kings on Taco Tuesday for a hundred bucks. For Taco Tuesday at a Mexican restaurant that is a little high but it is super convenient cuz we live right by it. On Tuesdays they have $1.50 tacos. Only chicken and beef and bean, only hard. Again a little higher than most Mexican restaurants that usually charge a dollar for tacos on Tuesday but overall I had a good experience and had to update my review. The tacos were very good. Original review: They increase their tip. Second time I've noticed this. I always round up to the whole dollar but instead of paying 110 for me and my 10 year old to eat dinner, they charged my card $112.18! The drinks have like no alcohol and don't look like the pictures. Very small portion sizes. More expensive than most Mexican restaurants. The whole place is a rip off. Guess they gotta pay for that fake atmosphere somehow...

I was shocked how good the food was! (For context, I recently moved here and this place was sold to me as "meh") they really under sold this place! The food was sublime for what it was, just some tacos al pastor, but it was teeming with flavor. A little different from the version in my home town's places, but startlingly delicious. I really truly compliment this place, I left extremely satisfied. For a moment, if I closed my eyes, I was at a restaurant in corpus christi. Sounds silly, but it was really comforting to me so thank you very much!

My family & I enjoyed coming here for the last 8 years, until our last visit. I ordered according to what I saw on the menu & I didn't get what I had ordered. They gave me that look like I wasn't supposed to have a problem with it & told me LATOR ON they no longer make the lime dressing tacos that I ordered. I was with a large party & most were my family members & it caused a lot of grief! They made it seem like it wasn't a big deal but it was & the service was beyond being terrible. I refused the meal (fish tacos). Because of this I will not return due to their ignorance & extremely poor service!

We came for the vegan items on their menu but I was served beef accidentally. They took it away and brought my vegan meal but it didn't have the vegan gourmet cheese or guacamole that the menu indicated. It was just very salty cooked vegetables, no lettuce or tomatoes with tacos. Friendly staff and nice atmosphere but wouldn't recommend to vegans.
