Subway

We have always enjoyed our subway in Cheney Washington until our last visit. Service was less than friendly. Store was unclean. I had asked the man behind the counter for a washcloth to clean a table and he said sure. He wet the towel in a tub of suddsy water and proceeded to hand it to me over the open cooler of meats and cheeses dripping all over. Lucky for us we had already received our meal prior.

Arriving at my local Subway JUST MOMENTS before the posted closing time Sunday evening, DAVE greeted my arrival with warmth and total courtesy. During the day, with several employees on shift, that would not have been out of the ordinary. HOWEVER, I have managed restaurants from fine dining to coffee shops AND I KNOW that CLOSING involves a rush of food preparation, security, facility cleaning and a myriad of tasks that are invisible to the outside public. You are multi-tasking like crazy, always thinking four steps ahead. The goal is to leave the restaurant to the morning staff the way YOU'D want to find it!!! Fully prepped, stocked, cleaned, and secure. For DAVE to keep a GENUINE, WARM SMILE on his face - even though I walked in at the last minute - never rushing me, and making me feel like I'm truly HIS HIGHEST PRIORITY… Dave is to be APPLAUDED for his kindness and SUPERB CUSTOMER SERVICE! 👍👍👍👍

This Subway store location is never prepared with enough food. I’ve responded using the receipt survey and it obviously didn’t change anything. I only go to Subway for the meatball subs and they are consistently out of meatballs. When I complain, I’m just told the morning crew didn’t prepare but one pan of meatballs. Obviously this store does not care about keeping customers or having satisfied customers. I will refuse to frequent this establishment any further and will drive out of my way to go to the Subway at the local truck stop who is always prepared with enough food, as they should. When I lived in Alaska, the local Subway would even warm up meatballs when they ran out. This establishment is a disgrace to the Subway brand. To clarify... I would completely understand if they were out of an item right before closing, but not during dinner time. Would have given this store zero stars if that would’ve been an option.

Pros: -Fresh -Good customer service -Clean -Fast Cons: (Nothing currently) Subway in general needs to bring back roast beef. Also Subway I believe should follow state/CDC guidelines as well. One last thing, there's not many details on the Subway membership or account stuff, like is there a point system or what?
