Lw's Livery Stable

Seemed like a cool place to get a drink on a monday night, if that was possible. Walked up to the full bar and attempted to get eye contact with the bartender but couldn't. I waited about 15 minutes and a couple regulars tried helping me catch the attention of the bartender but his eyes were glazed over and he never really looked at any of the patrons except for 2 groups at each end. One of the regulars said the other bartenders are great, but this older gentleman is usually too far gone to serve a drink. I'll try again next time I'm in town and maybe I'll be able to get a drink.

Spent two days in Charlotte moving my friend here. We chose The Livery Stable for a Monday night drink and "meet the locals". Between 7pm and midnight we saw many demographics at this bar. People of color, college students, after work beer-grabbers and the non-stop 90s, loving bartender who served drinks and food for over 25 people solo in a 80% packed bar. Impressive.

The Livery Stable is a great place to meet friends for drinks, whether it’s happy hour or late night. The owner is a gem, and their bartenders are friendly and knowledgeable. Classic bar with cool people. I always meet someone interesting here. They have old action movies running on the tv for something to zone out at. Bar staff is attentive and willing to offer suggestions to the indecisive. The Moscow Mule there is legendary. The owner likes to hang out and treats everyone like family. Also they serve food until 2am and it's tasty plus reasonably priced. One of my go-to bars.
