First experience after hearing of Felix’s since they opened their uptown location. The staff at Optimist Hall were impressively friendly and helped me choose my two empanadas for the combo. The side Cobb salad was delicious with a homemade dressing very unique and the size is very generous. I tried La Cubana and Chicken. La Cubana was unbelievably better than any Cuban sandwich I’ve had. The lady recommended the house made honey mustard and it was a perfect combination. The chicken empanada was also much tastier than I expected and full of juice. I used the “green” sauce with this one and the sauce is delicious. For the combo price (includes drink) this is a very good deal and I will be trying all the empanadas!

Just ate here, and food was delicious. Had a great conversation with the dude who runs it. Cool guy and even threw in an extra Shepard’s pie empanada for me to try. Definitely worth it

Do not overlook this place, it was FANTASTIC!!! We got three empanadas: chicken, cheeseburger, and Shepherd’s pie. All three were wonderful, but our favorite was the Shepherd’s pie empanada; SIMPLY AMAZING!!! Next time I am in Charlotte, I will be stopping by again for more!!!

Empanadas we’re toooo good !!! They give you the sauce on the side , tbh this is way better than having to touch all on the sauce bottles and let u serve yourself. They also had a cheat sheet where u can see which empanada is which.

Absolutely amazing!! Staff is amazing and Optimist Hall is such a great vibe as well. Can be a bit hectic on weekends though. I love going for weekday lunch though since it’s so close to a light rail stop.

A hidden gem in Latta Arcade in Uptown, Felix makes incredible empanadas. The accompanying sauces are not to be missed. The chimichurri is excellent! A stop here is a priority when we're in the area. Your day will be improved after eating here!

The employee at the register was polite and patient with my questions. I tried the spanakopita as well as the guava & cheese. The spanakopita was good but I would only order it if I was really craving it. The guava and cheese flavor was yummy and definitely a dessert option. I would order it again. However, I should say that I ordered three of them and the fillings were inconsistent. The first one had an even mix of guava and cheese. The second one was mostly guava. The third one was entirely guava.

God-like empanadas. Cubana y manzana in the picture. Great sauce choices. I go to Optimist Hall for lots of food but I make it a point to stop here no matter what. I will force myself to get these no matter how full I am. Very fairly priced with good quality.
