Really disappointed with our experience, the pizza took more than an hour and half of the table got food and the other half had to wait another 30 mins. Pizza was dry. The service was non existent and the wait staff rolled their eyes when people at our table requested anything.

Really cosy and friendly place to eat with great food and vast selection of games they encourage you to play after your food. Great service and reasonable prices

$83 for 1 pasta and 2 pizzas
I don't usually leave reviews but my recent visit to Guild in Canberra has compelled me to share my experience.
Firstly, please be aware there is a 'board games' cover charge -$5 per adult and $3 per child. For a family of 4, this is an extra $16. We were not aware of this surcharge and it was not prominent on the menu.
Secondly, we ordered 2 pizzas and they were both very average. Both lacked toppings and overpriced for their size and quality. Each main was approx $22 each.
It's a shame because the concept is innovative and unique. The average quality food I could have dealt with but not the cover charge to actually play the games.
Overall, I do not recommend the restaurant unless they improve their food quality or drop the cover charge.
Edit: The staff were wonderful and the service was good.

My partner and I came in for a cozy Sunday afternoon playing board games and we were not disappointed. Lucile took the time to welcome us in, show us around, and recommend some board games after inquiring what type we enjoy playing. The selection of food and drink was great, the service prompt, and the mulled wine heart-warming (much like the venue overall). We look forward to making it back soon.

FANTASTIC!!!!
On holiday from Sydney with my wife and son.
When we arrived for our booking it was very busy but we where quickly shown our table/ booth for the night. Very quickly after siting down with my wife and son I realized there was no music and everyone playing board games eating dinner and have a laugh and not on there phones. I spoke with a lady who happens to be the owner and she said she created the place this way to encourage talking and it really works I even spoke and laughed with my wife😄😄 The food was delicious and we will be back on our next visit 100%

Visiting Canberra for a holiday and my sister recommended this place to us as my wife and I both enjoy board games.
The service we received from the staff was incredible and the atmosphere was very welcoming. I would highly suggest this place for anyone who likes an easy going, stress free and downright enjoyable venue on any given night of the week.

Guild is a nice and cosy little place. The ambiance is great and it's fun to be able to play some games and have a meal at the same time. However the food goes from good to average and is relatively pricey. There is a good drink selection but most of the on tap beers were not available, which meant we had the house lager. Don't get the house lager.

My partner and I had a really lovely evening here for Valentine's Day. It's pretty much my perfect night... Pizza, beer and board games. Food was great, amazing selection of games and outstanding service. Really appreciated the game recommendations from the staff and owner.
