This was the worst cake ever I ordered a vanilla with strawberry filling 2 layer the cake was very hard barely could cut it. The strawberry filling was disgusting. No one ate one piece and these were 11 and 10 year olds. My son was crying saying it was nasty and why didn’t I get the same cake his little cousin had which came fro jewel. All the kids were saying uggg I still have more than half the cake I paid a $100 for this cake they were closed when the party was over because I was going to take it to them that cake ruined my sons party how could you give someone a hard cake which means it wasn’t fresh I will be calling Monday then you offered me $25 towards another cake I would not get a cookie frohere

Great cakes, but probably going to look for a new bakery. Every other cake we order has a mistake, and we get 4-5 a year. Some major, like names spelled wrong or details completely missing/done incorrectly. Today was rather simple. Writing was supposed to be a on piece of chocolate but instead was done on the board. When my wife pointed it out, Tiffany the manager, told her that there was no mistake, and nothing could be done because all the decorators have left for the day. Thankfully Candice, who took the order was there. She simply turned the order sheet over, and it was listed on the instructions that the writing was to be done on chocolate. They took the cake to the back and added the writing to a piece of chocolate. Tiffany did not once apologize, and I think that’s the biggest issue. Mistakes happen, but when no effort is made to correct it that is where there are problems. Looking at the order sheet there is no sign off that it was checked for quality or accuracy, even though there is a spot for it. Thankful that it was fixed but it’s gotten to the point that we start taking bets on how many errors there will be. And when spending close to $100 on a cake that should not be the case. This is to let you know that on May 7th I bought a purple flower cake on my anniversary and it was very very bad as far as taste is concerned. We felt so bad as none of our guests liked it. My husband has to run to Jewel Osco to get the other cake ☹️ Though the cake looked beautiful from outside it was awful in taste. Didn’t expected this from you guys as you just completed 50 years of servicing. Not coming back…just wasted my $35. Just look into it.
