I support other comments that the staff is very nonchalant and seems to give zero care if you live or die, always in their phones.
But the ambiance is comfy and matcha latte is ok.

Does AVA Brew have amazing coffee? Yes. But you already knew that. Let me tell you what really makes this place wonderful; what REALLY keeps me coming back time and time again: David, Chandler, and Shaun! These three are absolutely a joy to be around. Not only is the service here amazing (I blink and my latte is in my hands, I kid you not!) but they are absolutely sweet! Chatting with them every morning is the highlight of my day! The cafe is always spotless! And the ambiance is so warm and inviting! I would give 6 stars if I could!

Super cozy! I popped in here on a bitter cold Friday and got an oat milk cortado with hazelnut and it was delicious. The milk was frothed to the perfect consistency and the flavor was excellent. I was on my way to an appointment so I didn't stick around but there was a very spacious and cozy seating area with almost nobody occupying it so it's definitely a good spot to take refuge for a while and relax. I'll definitely be back when I'm in the area!

I have tried every coffee place in this neighborhood and finally back here. They have very good coffee, and incredible staff! Now I have coffee almost everyday here.

Amazing employees, great coffee, and a great atmosphere. The team here is always positive and fun and the coffee is great. Highly recommend grabbing a refillable growler of cold brew which can get you through a week of WFH.

What a cozy environment with amazing staff. All of the baristas are exceptionally friendly and caring. Their cold brew is very pleasant and one of the baristas makes excellent espresso and latte art. Very swanky spot and it is quickly becoming my go-to place when I’m in Downtown Brooklyn. 5 stars.
