Diverse group of seafood options in a local favorite bar/grill where you can pull your boat up and immediately grab a table. On a beautiful day be prepared to wait for seating, service and food. However, fresh seafood and a table on the lake with a nice breeze make a lot of worries fade away

Today was our first visit to Down The Hatch.
The view was great. Food was pretty good, but my buffalo chicken salad was small.
Beware the prices of the drinks! No wonder they don't list them anywhere.

I was pleasantly surprised by Down the Hatch. We were visiting the area from out of state and our hosts took us to DtH for lunch while out boating on Candlewood Lake. The food was very good and the outdoor deck was an excellent place to have a bite. It was nice to step off the boat and be there.

The attitudes at this place is ridiculous. I went this past summer and forgot to write a review because I knew that I would NEVER come back. Nice view but that’s it. As some of the other reviews stated my waiter took the cash as a tip and I gave him extra money to break my bigger bills. So I left him 20% but usually I give more. Of course he was apologetic but his service was horrible the entire time. Again nice view but keep the microwave food. Never again!

An awesome and fun restaurant that sits directly on the water. Beautiful views of Candlewood Lake. There were ducks, carp, ducklings and geese all a few feet away in the water. An amazing, laid back outdoor patio dining experience. Impress your friends with this large, hidden gem.
