The Table

Probably the best food in Broadstairs. Seriously. Very authentic Japanese flavours, executed perfectly. Super friendly service and it's great to be able to see the chefs who clearly know exactly what they're doing! Great place for a group as the menu has plenty of vegan dishes as well as options for the carnivores. Is there a way I can give them 6 stars?

We 3 had a reservation but knew nothing about the place. Walked in, the petite restaurant has one table for two. We were sat at the bar counter overlooking the kitchen. Then a very welcoming face explained their tasting menu. We are “difficult “ diners. One vegetarian, one no seafood and limited flavors, etc. We almost left thinking it won’t work, we aren’t the right customers. The owner/chef said “we can accommodate you” - we probably would have left but then felt we weren’t being open minded 🤣 BEST decision ever! The ambiance is quaint and intimate and you feel like you’re part of the scene! It’s amazing how organized they all need to be to work in such a small space. (And kept clean!) Service was very friendly and authentic. But the food! The flavors that sprung from each dish were amazing. Never “spicy” and yet SO much flavor! Each dish different, each dish something to look forward to. We have been traveling for weeks, going to too many pompous boring restaurants with average food- this was a real treat! And besides the food, service, and atmosphere being spot on- we had the wine pairing which was also worth it!! This is THE find of my travels!! Don’t miss out!
