I had my first proper post-lockdown café sit-down here today and it was such a pleasant experience. The atmosphere is lovely - perfect balance between buzz and quiet. The service was great - staff were friendly, attentive and efficient - and the food was DELICIOUS. I ordered the Frittas plate and everything was perfectly cooked and seasoned. The sweet potato chilli sweetcorn frittas, in particular, were packed with flavour. I'll definitely be returning for more!

OK so we had to come to Bristol for another reason but fancied breakfast first and looked on this very website for a recommendation. Pouring rain, parked too far away and huddled under an umbrella to walk there but goodness what a good decision! Honestly, could not fault this place. Friendly and efficient service, a welcoming atmosphere and excellent coffee to get us started, and then a wicked breakfast to top it off. Inspired idea to put bubble and squeak on the menu; I substituted halloumi for the fried egg and it worked so well with the black pudding and bacon. This place is worth travelling for and we intend to return asap. I recommend unreservedly.

What a lovely refreshing menu. Brunch for us a tasty green smoothie. And the most delicious stack of proper pancakes, fluffy in the middle delightfully golden crisp edge, topped with berries and yoghurt. I didn't need the maple syrup as perfect as it was. Clean tables,clean toilet, calm and relaxed. Shaded outside spaces if needed. Friendly and welcoming staff.
