Ihop

I almost did not go in as the front entry doors were so dirty I was afraid what else has been ignored. Against my best judgement I did and was extremely disappointed. The guy that appeared to be in charge was yelling from the kitchen to the young waitress non stop while I was there about who can make the best sandwich, and a series of related conversations at high volume. The coffee was cold by the time I got sugar and a soup spoon to stir with. There was only one other older man in the place and still the service was less than good. Food was just ok, nothing above average.

Was excited to learn that a local family owned this establishment but service was OK at best. We ordered an omelette with a chicken and waffle, and it took 35 minutes for it to get to the table. When it showed up it was in to go boxes which we were planning on eating at the restaurant, so I’m not sure why it didn’t come on a plate. The food was soggy, lukewarm and served to us in a king soopers bag. This is the LAST time I ever frequent a ihop please take your money to a local restaurant instead.

My review is from a very busy Father's Day and that may account for some of the problems I had with my order. I did a pickup order that was not available on time, it was missing one item, and the kids funny face combo was not prepared nicely (there was a chunk of American cheese that was left unmelted which is shown in the picture I included). They found the missing entree but had trouble even noticing that it was on the receipt even though I could see it. There is nice picnic table outside that was shady in the morning which was nice for either waiting or you could eat out there too if you do a take away and don't want to go too far.
