Lovey staff, lovey food and lovely Brighton back drop.
Harks to an experience I thought we’d lost from Brighton and a place I’ll be not only re visit but re-loving.
Came with my girlfriend and pooch and we both delighted to a classic cod and chip combo (even the dog managed to wrangle a dog friendly (?!?!?) ice cream from us 😂. Thank you mama ‘brumie’ fish!!!

Easily the best Fish and Chips I've had in Brighton!! Me and my partner visit Brighton each year, and it's important to me to get fish and chips by the sea side. Its tradition. I've never had one this good, and on top of that, the service was fantastic and the whole atmosphere was just lovely.
This, for me, IS Brighton. Fabulous.

BEST fish and chips in Brighton, by far. We've tried a few places now but nothing compares to Mama Fish! Moist, fresh fish, crispy batter, delicious dips and super-friendly service. If you want proper fish and chips by the sea, I highly, highly, highly recommend Mama Fish. The gem of Brighton!

Stopped here for lunch & thought it looked like a good spot. Food was pretty good, arguably I don’t think the chips were “chippy chips” but the fish was amazing. The lady that I’m assuming owns the business was lovely, couldn’t have done more, was so friendly. Unfortunately the chef let the experience down, screaming numbers angrily (which I can understand is frustrating if people don’t listen), shouting at people for moving the sauces because “they will get shut down if they’re moved.” The lady did try and make light of the situation but it was just a shame that you felt like you were being told off whilst enjoying your lunch

If you don't fancy sitting on the beach for your fish and chips this little place is perfect. You can see the beach but you can also sit at a table. The food was lovely - we had the fish and chips and battered sausage. Not too oily and very crispy. We had a choice to sit in the shade or the sun.
