Slapfish

Pretty good seafood spot. Everything was fresh tasting. The lobster taquitos were good. The fish tacos were tasty and had a good balance of fillings. The lobster grilled cheese was definitely cheesy. The burrito was your standard fish burrito but had a lot of cabbage. The lobster and shrimp roll was okay, next time I think I would just go with the regular lobster roll with hot drawn butter. The loaded clam chowder fries were good but I would personally ask for no extra sauce on top. It would be better with just the clam chowder. Overall I would come back.

So my mom had the lobster rolls with fries $30 (first pic) and I had the lobster grilled cheese sandwich with coleslaw $15( second pic), She rated it 4 out of 5. I rate it a 3.5 out of 5. I dont know but I couldn't taste any lobster and the coleslaw had too much vinegar, too sour. Overall it's a hit or miss. Ask yourself if you really like lobster that much...

Just tried dine in and food was fresher than before very delicious and great service. Ate the clobster grilled cheese with fries and lobster taquitos with a shirly temple craft soda was yummy! Wow this place took me by surprise! Really a hidden gem in Brea. Ordered the Clobster Meal which is a lobster grilled cheese sandwich and fries. Came up to $16.16 total. Not a bad deal for how big the sandwich was. Very tasty and loved the fries! They have seasoning that is really yummy not too salty. The awesome sauce was yummy has a little kick dipped my fries in it and threw it on my sandwich. Needed at least 2 awesome sauces 1 is not enough for as many fries as you get. Really friendly service and very clean inside. Took my food to go was packed neatly. A+ overall. Will return.

Is it ok to say that I want to slap myself for not coming to Slapfish sooner??? We decided to come to Slapfish since we needed to run a few errands at Whole Foods. We went on Thursday evening and we were surprised that there was no one eating there. We were the only ones there. The staff is very friendly. The set up of the restaurant is similar to Mendocino Farms. You order and pay at the counter and the staff will bring the food to your table. We ordered the Lobster Grilled Cheese Sandwich, Lobster Taquitos and Clam Chowder Fries. The Lobster Grilled Cheese Sandwich is not a small dish. The grilled cheese sandwich is in thick slices of toast with a TON of chopped/shredded lobster and gooey melted cheese. You know how sometimes you get a lobster dish but can't taste or see the lobster??? Well, not in this case. This huge and delicious sandwich comes with a side of seasoned fries. If you are not feeling the fries, they give you the option of salad. You will be full after eating this sandwich. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS DISH!!!! The lobster taquitos were delicious. The give you 2 taquitos, not your typical skinny taquitos with no filling. They were generously filled with lobster and rolled in a flour tortilla that was deep fried. The clam chowder fries were delicious as well. This dish reminds me a lot of poutine. The fries here are the thick and crunchy seasoned fries and smothered in their delicious chunky clam chowder. You can see and taste the pieces of bacon, potatoes and clams in this chowder. I can't wait to go back to Slapfish and order the other dishes they have. Or will I order the same things I ordered before? It is a very tough decision. The food here is sooo good that you wouldn't mind eating it again and again.
