7-eleven

I’m usually stopping by between 12am-4am due to my work schedule, and sometimes the store is locked up when it is open 24 hours. It’s always this one guy who will lock the doors and disappear in the back for 25+ minutes. There’s no way he can be on his break at 2:34am (at the time I’m writing this) and I’ve been waiting for over 20 minutes for him to come out so I can get a few things.

Mostly a good 7-11, with some poorly trained / poorly monitored employees. It's great when you need to grab a quick bite to eat. They have hot dogs, pizza, and some other hot foods as well as a coffee and soda bar. They have a few grocery items and a fridge with a good selection of beverages. For the most part I really like the staff here. They are friendly without being smarmy, and they pay more attention to customers who are there to buy products than to people who are there to buy retirement plans (lottery). This is very nice since most people who play the lottery want to list off all their "lucky numbers". When the managers aren't there it can be a free for all though. The employees will often have their friends in there just hanging out, but they always jump to the register when you get in line at least so this doesn't bother me so much. There is one guy I really hate there. Black kid, probably around 18, short, about 160lbs. ALWAYS wearing headphones. He makes really obnoxious jokes and holds up the line because he hasn't learned to just ring people up and move on with things. I don't expect high standards from a place that pays their employees minimum wage, but they would really do themselves a favor to fire this dumbass. Tell you what 7-11, if I don't see this guy for a month I will assume he is fired and give you an "Excellent" rating. For now, "Very Good".
