Paul's

As a Thornaby lad, I do miss the Spitfire. I met my wife there in the 80’s. Paul’s on the other hand is a great Chippy. It’s always clean, decent parking and staff are canny. The Parmos are huge, fish a decent size and chips are huge portion. Telephone ordering doesn’t really save any time, you still queue to get your order, and it’s never been ready to collect. We’ve even had to wait while the cook some fish. The chips can be a little under cooked, but there’s masses of them. Price rises are common everywhere, Paul’s is no exception. Definitely the best Chippy around this area. Probably have to go to Saltburn for a better one.

OMG - Actually can't believe I'm doing my first review on Paul's! I've been here numerous times and it has never failed! I have never once been dissapointed! The parmo is the best parmo you are guaranteed to try (especially if you love bech and cheese!!) The garlic sauce is gorgeous, actual garlic sauce made properly tasting like actual garlic, so yes it has a kick but only the best! The chips are beautiful also! They don't do delivery but collection is 100% worth it! The size of your parmo might also knock you off your feet!! Half parmo would feed 4 easy with chips n said and full parmo well I'll say no more, let you see for yourself!! Worth every penny! 😍 Enjoy!
