Majors Chippy

First came here on my 16th birthday and boy I was excited to try the food I had a large cod with chips and curry sauce and lemme tell ya best fish and chips I’ve ever had the battered orange chips are crunchy crispy and soft very nice and the fish well they could do better on the fish batter as it doesn’t stick on the fish well but nice fish in my opinion the curry sauce was smooth and a good taste to it I highly recommend this place

Being from Scotland I always thought we were the ones obsessed with deep fried food and battering everything including as you know, deep fried Mars bats. However, when I got introduced to black County chips, I was shocked that the idea hadn't reached or wasn't invented by Scottish ppl. I heard this place was the go to for black County chips and I wasn't disappointed, they taste amazing! Also the hot curry sauce and gravy that went with it was spectacular! I really liked the service too was very quick. The only slight point was that the fish wasn't cooked fresh upon arrival, which I see some chippies do, however it was still tasty and the batter was great. Will definitely be back soon!!

Been to Majors multiple times throughout the years, introduced my fiance to Majors and she was amazed at the portion size, price and food quality, as I now live in Bournemouth, my partner is from there so she has never really tasted much food north of Bournemouth. It is safe to say she loved her chips. The food was better than I remember. Can't wait for our next visit! The mixed kebab was the best kebab I have ever eaten. And also just the right amount of sauce too.
