Carved

Have been here a few times now, (always lunchtime or early afternoon) not been in the evening yet. Food is always great, good selection of beers, tv's on tbe wall, music in tbe background what's not to like?! The staff are friendly, okay it's not the Ritz, it's a bit on the small side, a bit rustic, and you don't need to dress up to go there, it's what I'd call an "Urban Eatery". Did I mention the food is great?! I can recommend the salt beef sandwich, fantastic. Look in if you're in the area.

Great food. Really enjoyed the food. I have to really say I am impressed as I am vegetarian and they don't really have anything on the menu apart from fries and nachos. I called Carved a few days before to make enquiries regarding menu and they were very helpful and arranged a special vegetarian meal for me. Usually I am given pasta but I am throughly impressed and the food was really tasty. Great place my brother had the burger and said it was really good. 👌

I have recently revised my review of carved from five to four stars. The food is still excellent and a refresh of the menu has some interesting and welcome new additions. The customer service of the table staff is also good. The main reason for my lower rating is that the atmosphere in Carved has changed for the worse. It feels like there is tension between the staff with the senior members now no longer interested in passing the time of day with the customers. Frequent conversations are overheard of clearly disgruntled employees/owners. It simply doesn't feel like a joyous place to spend time anymore. I do hope whatever is going on is resolved soon. Carved is still a great addition to Bexleyheath and I still recommend it, its just no longer deserved a 5 star rating.
