If you are looking for a real home cooked meal, go to the Black Forest Deli. This neighborhood eatery is owned and operated by Ukrainian immigrants. The menu reflects many of the traditional meals of their homeland. On the 3rd Saturday of the month they have a 5 course brunch (no reservation required). Where you do need a reservation is for the 5 course Kiev dinner. Seating is very limited so reserve ASAP. On my visit I counted 8 varieties of pierogi. The service is pleasant, the meals are filling and the prices are reasonable for home cooking. Can't wait to go back.

A cozy homestyle cafe inside a corner classic house. The owner is very generous and hospitable. feels like visiting your favorite auntie in Ukraine!)) Kiev style borsh, pierogies and dumplings.

I found this deli by accident. Absolutely amazing. I can't wait to return and try everything they offer. Their pierogies were perfect. The halushki was excellent. Reminded me of eating at my grandma's house.

Like the old mom & pops stores back in the day. This place is a classic reminder that homemade goods are always good. From their pierogies, sandwiches, potato salad and service. Reasonably priced and always served fresh. This should be a permanent staple in the Lehigh valley. It's like going to grandma's house and saying: "grandma you should get paid for doing this" Well these ladies are getting paid for this and deserve every penny.

Delicious food reminds you of childhood food. Service is excellent, everything is made by hand, not heated up and served which I loved. I would absolutely recommend black forest Deli to anyone and everyone. And the price is perfect.

Quite harried experience running errands on Good Friday and took an hour to stop by hoping to dine in. We managed to sit inside and order a few dishes with what was available among all their Easter Bread and catering orders. The ladies were conducting business: cooking, waiting on diners and cleaning tables.
A plate of chicken schnitzel with buttery mashed potatoes and one plate of buttered noodles topped with chunks of chicken (paprikas) with a plate of garlic buttered rye plus a side dish of homemade potato salad and side of chopped beets. We ordered a quart of homemade chicken noodle soup to go. Everything was delicious and true to the Russian- Ukraine cuisine.
