We've passed by Matt's Fish Camp all the time. We finally decided to check it out and weren't disappointed. The place is very inviting, the people are nice and professional. The onion rings were beautifully humongous and yet still crispy. They seem to love putting paprika in and on everything. I loved it! The New England Clam Chowder was delicious, if not traditional. My family tried the fish and chips, Cajun chicken sandwich, cod fried fish sandwich and I chose the the grilled Mahi. Everything was delicious. My fish came out undercooked but because the staff is so attentive they noticed just as I noticed and immediately had it re-cooked and comped my meal without even waiting for a complaint from me. I was really impressed by their good service. Great place!

Overall not pleased with our experience. Our server greeted us relatively quickly and introduced herself and her trainee. She was very pleasant but her trainee never smiled Throughout the entire meal. We ordered two Matt’s rum punch which were good when we finally got them. The bar and open air kitchen are combined and seemed to slow down service on both ends. We started with a Cobb salad appetizer to split (forgot pic) but nice presentation. Ordered fried chicken which was 3 large breasts and a lobster roll warmed. Was told the price was $29 but never checked the bill before offering my credit card to pay and was charged $32 instead. Decent amount of lobster but the warmed white toast was very dry and little lettuce so ended up just eating the meat. Upgraded to French fries which were enough to share. The bill payment took entirely too long to receive and then run, first time at this location and most likely won’t return. Also every time the servers had to attend to outside tables they would exit thru the front doors and dirty dishes had to be walked by the front hostess stand by people waiting to be seated. Not very conducive to a busy summer night when lots of people Crowd the front area I’m sure. SoDel usually does a better job than this.

We made the trip down to the beach today just to go here. We were not disappointed. From our waitress Rochelle to Colin the manager, the whole staff was friendly. The onion roings are delicious and huge. Lobster deviled eggs were equally as good. I went specifically for the fried chicken and waffles because it has scrapple and was wondering how a lobster sauce would work…it worked…delicious. My wife had the buttermilk fried chicken with bacon corn gravy and that was delicious too. The rum punch and bloody mary were also delicious. We’ll be back.

Family and parents had a delicious meal with crab cake sandwiches, fish tacos and fish & chips washed down with Matt's home made root beer. We also indulged with a few side orders of hush puppies! Everyone left full with no room for dessert.

Excellent atmosphere, food and service. We had the soft shell crabs, fried chicken, shrimp and grits and flank steak. Everything was excellent. The soft shells were amazing light and crispy. The crab dip is also excellent served with homemade chips. We also had Matt's homemade root beer served in frosted cup. Highly recommend.❤

If you’re in Bethany area this is a must. The food was great as was our server Noah. The staff was very accommodating and friendly. We had calamari to start with and fried clams and scallops as our mains. The cook was perfect on everything. For a cocktail the Dirty Pickle is the best, ask for a salted rim. I would definitely recommend Matt’s Fish Camp.

I come here often. The food is good. The drinks are great. Very clean restaurant. Wonderful staff. The bartender, Brenden, has been very attentive and accurate with my orders. The SoDel Lime pie is the best. Keep up the great work!!

Very busy. Impossible to make reservation. Nice staff. Fried calamari sauce could have more kick. Flank steak juicy. Halibut OK.
