Mpd Steak Kitchen

My new favourite place in Berwick! What a treat from the entry to the grandness of the dinning area. They did a fantastic job to ensure you feel like your in a luxurious venue. The staff are just beautiful and helpful with menu recommendations. The highlight for me were the oysters like I'm coming back again and bringing my son and partner just to experience the mind blowing flavours. Came with my sister in law for our birthday treat and just loved the experience.

We arrived with no booking and staff were kind enough to squeeze us in. Our waiter was friendly and helpful and the ambience was relaxing with perfect date night lighting. I don’t frequent fancy/ expensive restaurants …I have simple tastes so I was really excited to taste my money’s worth…We got the planko chicken (thigh pieces cooked well and def crunchy but almost flavourless ), crumbed chicken breast (cooked perfectly but lacked in flavour I felt as though the side salad and the chips just didn’t complement the chicken ) wagyu porterhouse (no steak expert but this was definitely good sadly it was ruined by the garlic butter sauce with was too salty. Def don’t lather your steak with sauce without first tasting the sauce ! ) and a choc passion fruit tart. Overall the price didn’t not justify my experience.

Had lunch here and it was premium. Obviously had to try the Tomahawk and this did not disappoint. All the dishes, just had such great flavours. If you’re a big eater like me, some of the main dishes might be too small for you. Or, get a lot of side dishes. The atmosphere inside is fantastic, during the day you can see all the colours and ambiance and is worth taking it in. I had to give a special mention to the Brussels sprouts, these were just seasoned and cooked so well, made eating them really enjoyable. And the unique door handles of the bathroom. Really enjoyed my experience and would be back for more.

Preciously visited MPD and loved the place. Was looking forward to trying Cut above as I have heard it is just as good as MPD was. I ordered the scotch fillet and was a little disappointed with the quality of meat. My friend ordered the eye fillet and it was rather dry. Might give it one more go as it might have been an off day.

Not sure where to start but basically it is a good looking place but not great food quality and staff are really careless I booked a table for my anniversary and they did not add anything special I booked with a pram and 2 kids and they was always looking towards us make us really uncomfortable Attitude from the lady walked us to the table was like " you know it is a 90 min session and you guys booked for 5:30 you arrived 6 so you have 1 hour left" I was like OMG what a great start of my night seriously guys They did not mention this 90 min thing while I was booking and also got my name wrong Now the food: Super late and overpriced steak that came burnes and not juicy at all . The mushroom sauce was read with no mushroom in it!!! We ordered deserts but had to cancel it and we end up paying for it !! Had to call them for a refund the following day The last part was when I asked for the check and the same lady asked for how was everything and I told her how bad was the steak and the tasteless sauce and she was like Ah you are maybe expected the normal mushroom sauce ( It felt like just get the f out of here ) honestly if I did not have my kids crying I was gonna escalate it with the manager I DO NOT RECOMMENDED TO GO THERE FOR STEAK WHICH COST $51 GO TGI FRIDAYS
