Schnitz Bendigo

Love a good Schnitz. The food was fantastic and it's a classy restaurant. Looks newly renovated. The no touch exit from the wash room with a foot open door put it into a Covid safe class of its own. Nice touch! Corn crumb was crunchy. Didn't have to wait too long for the food. Lots of delivery pick ups.

Best meal in a while. 🙂🙌 Eating with new allergy needs of No Dairy or Soy is a stressfull minefield but Schnitz make it easy with really clear, easy to read allergy info on the website. When ordering at Schnitz in Bendigo, the staff were very knowledgeable, patient and friendly. The food was quick and I had plenty of choices 🥰 that were available to me. Best of all, it was delicious 😋

Extremely disappointed! I have wanted to go there when I saw it open but never got a chance. One day I decided to take my teenage daughter out for dinner and a movie. I was looking forward to Schnitz as I love a great chicken schnitzel and thought it would be exceptional there as that is their main business. The schnitzel came out and immediately I was not impressed, it was very thin and a little on the small side, it was accompanied by some chips on the side and that was it. It tasted very ordinary; the chips were ok. My daughter’s plate was the same, we ate it as we had paid for it but I am hesitant to go back there again. I get a better schnitzel at Lazy Moe’s, thicker, bigger, served with chips and veges or salad for the same price. I usually like to give a place 3 chances before I write a negative review but for a Schnitzel restaurant it was an extremely dissatisfying experience. In fact, it felt more like subpar fast food than a proper restaurant. To be fair, my neighbor has ordered the take away wraps there a few times and says they are alright, so it could have been just a bad day for the company? The lack of size, thickness and sides to the dish is still unacceptable for that price point and being the business is Schnitzels.

Great service. Amazing staff. We went looking for breakfast on a public holiday when the place wasn't open. The manager came out anf politely mentioned that they dont open till lunch. He directed us to a place he knew was open that day. We later came back for lunch and I'm so glad we did. The guy running the place is just amazing. Even though it was super crowded, he had a smile on his place, telling jokes and keeping up the energy. We ordered the spice of life and it was just amazing. Sauces are worth dying for. Keep up the good work guys. 👍

Lovely friendly service. Very ordinary meal. Other Schnitz restaurants do the Avo Smash Schnitzel so well. Bendigo Schnitz served dry, over cooked chicken schnitzel. The other ingredients were so thinly layered that they didn't help moisten the chicken. Maybe got them on an off night, but probably won't risk it again.
