The 3rd Rail

Nice place, been there several times which says a lot for me. Have had a few items on the menu and one of the specials, all rating a 5 in my book. Only reason I gave the food a 4 was the fish and chips, while very tasty was a bit on the greasy side. It seemed like they hadn't changed the oil in the deep fryer in a while.

I personally didn't rate the food because we didn't have anything to eat. We had drinks and listened to Contra band. They were great. Our companions had some food which they enjoyed. One friend ordered the chili and didn't like it so she sent it back and the waitress brought her something else. She got the chicken quesadillas and said that they were delicious. The only thing I could say, and I know it's not 3rd rail's fault, is that after we left that Friday, on Sunday night we were both sick with Covid. Two of the people that we were with also got sick. So 4 out of 8 of us in the group got sick. Things have lightened up a lot in public places because no one was wearing masks, including us. I just want people to know that they should be aware whenever they go into a crowded place where people aren't wearing masks the chances of being infected are still out there. After we recover it will be a while before we go out or into a crowded place without wearing masks. Don't blame 3rd Rail. It's a great place. Wear a mask!
