The Donut Professor

Pretty good, but really really pricey. When I got there, they had sold out of just about everything. So that should tell you that they're pretty popular. But really a buck and a half per pastry is just too much. I'm from out of town. So, I'll bet this is a local favorite. The donuts were great. But, I've been to a lot of local pastries shops across the country, and they weren't any better then other local pastry shops. They were just a lot more expensive.

I stopped in to see what's good with The Donut Professor! I was hyped for it. After the visit I was totally disappointed, Greatly. No inventory maybe 6 donuts total. This was at 8:40 am. I brought one anyway because it looked good and I was staving. The donut was old tasting to me. Like it was made the day before and sat out that following morning. As I drove home frustrated because i felt like i wasted my money and time. When your name "Donut Professor" you should be at the top of the donut game. Right now Hyvee is showing all the over priced donut shops how to make money and produce a better tasting donut for a buck.

Could have gotten better donuts and coffee across the street at Buckys. Coffee is from a machine like a gas station, not what you would expect from a donut shop. Donuts tasted like they were day old. This alone would have gotten at least 2 stars. The atmosphere of thre place is downright weird. Plastic tables and chairs, way too much empty space, no decor, prices were hand written more cards taped to the "menu board". Lady working was pleasant enough, however I will not return.
