The White Hart

The whole meal was EXCELLENT . The Food was delicious and beautifully cooked - the wine excellent. Our waiter ( COREY) was a APPARENTLY trainee but there is no way you would know so because he was so brilliant - attentive and determined to meet our every need . We eat out a lot and we know what good customer service is but this was the best we have experienced for a very long time. The Management also were so incredibly helpful -. ALL IN ALL WE HAD A WONDERFUL EVENING AND WE CANNOT WAIT TO BOOK AGAIN

The welcome, service and food were excellent. Well looked after by our super waitress, food was loved by all, looked after our two children perfectly (one who has a gluten intolerance and the other celebrating her 1st birthday). One of our favourite places to go for a nice meal as its so reliable in terms of what you get.

Fresh, tasty, piping hot food served by a friendly and efficient waitress. The food took a little longer than we had expected to arrive but it was definitely worth waiting for! We had booked a table in the restaurant for lunch but my 2 sons decided thay would like to sit in a lovely little nook in the bar area. It was nice and cosy... Two of us had the Lasagne with Triple-cooked chips and the other one had the Signature Burger with a side of Halloumi fries. All of the food was yummy but the Halloumi fries were really scrumptious! The waitress was very attentive even though we were seated in the bar and not the restaurant. One of my son's had a free pud: White Chocolate and Raspberry Tart, it was beautifully presented. A thoroughly pleasant lunch was had by all.

We have been to this pub several times and always get good service. We called in for Sunday lunch (6 of us) which included my elderly parents but hadn’t booked. It was very busy and we were told there was no availability. We decided to have a drink and Simona made a point of coming over to our table and saying she would do whatever she could to get us a table in the restaurant. Within an hour she had sorted it out despite serving in the bar and being very busy. She worked very hard to give us great customer service which is so rare these days. It was refreshing to receive such good service. We had a lovely meal. Well done Simona !!!

I booked the function room at The White Hart for a wake after my Mum's funeral. When I initially visited the pub to check it out Mel was extremely helpful in showing me around and answering all my queries. The room itself was perfect for the number of attendees we were expecting (about 60). The day before the funeral, Simona was on hand to talk us through how she suggested things could work for the following day, including table layouts, where we could arrange some family photos, where the food could be set out, and where additional seating could be placed. Simona also made sure that the room looked lovely for when we arrived and had arranged flowers on the tables and around the room. It was great. The buffet food was excellent, and everyone who attended had more than enough to eat - Very tasty. The buffet menu Yazmin sent over to me had a good selection and there were things on there suitable for non-meat eaters too. There were plenty of leftovers afterwards for which the pub provided boxes so we could take some home - We didn't have to worry about cooking anything for dinner. The whole event was excellently priced for the service we received, and all the staff were helpful and friendly. I would strongly recommend considering The White Hart for your loved one's wake. I've eaten here several times and totally enjoyed my meal. This is pub grub but to a higher level. The dining area is clean and tidy. Unfortunately for me, my wife worked here and had a very negative experience. I will not return because of my wife's experience but the food in and of itself is good.

Only place around the area that still had their kitchen open around 9pm which was great as we were super hungry. Great tasting steak and chips. Very spacious area inside and they have seating next to a lovely fire place which is great for the cold nights coming up. Friendly staff and dog friendly pub also.

Warm, welcoming and courteous staff, great service and delicious food. What's not to like? I happened upon The White Hart today whilst looking for somewhere to pass the time while my son was meeting the great and the good at his first post uni graduate job. Managed to down 2 fab Cappuccinos during my wait and then we proceeded to order the Chicken Schnitzel and Lasagne for lunch. Lovely large portions of tasty food, which was well presented. Good value for money and the place had an amiable ambience! Well done!
