Ah. May. Zing. I loved my first visit. The space is clean and inviting with great decor. The staff was super friendly. The bartender was highly skilled, I ordered a Last Word and he knew how to make it without asking, and it was wonderful. The lamb burger I had was bursting with flavor and was expertly cooked. The fries are not super special, but perfectly cooked. My fiancee loved her coctail (Leon’s Last Holiday), avacado tempura, and gnocchi.

We could not find the hostess stand. I wandered around the restaurant for 9 minutes before someone asked me if I had a reservation. Well that was the first I could tell I needed a reservation. After all, there were 9 empty tables an most of the tables in the bar were open. We asked to sit outside and someone cleared and set a table. I ordered a pain killer. It was a nice drink that was both strong and there was an ample drink. I also asked for lemon for my water and it never arrived.

Arrived early and was seated quickly. Service was very good. We had the grilled dates and ricotta app. Quite tasty! I ordered the burger and my wife had the special - grilled swordfish. The burger was so-so. It was undercooked and salty. They haven't been open long, but an $18 burger should be easy to nail. My wife's dish was amazing. The atmosphere is very good, I will go back for another meal. I'd recommend this if you're looking for a high end restaurant locally.

We went for the El Camino take out last week. Overall it was pretty good. Doing take out successfully is very hard as it always seems like the food is cold by the time you reach your eating destination. We chose to eat at waterfront park which is just a couple minutes away and by the time we got everything out it was cold which is expected but disappointing. That aside that food was tasty and packaged well. The included utensils were made of wood which I'm not a fan of but is a sign of the times with reducing plastic consumption.

Only giving two stars because of friendly service, or else it would be lower. I appreciate the attempt to making new and unique dishes but both my husband and I were highly disappointed with our food. After tipping our meal was almost $100 for one cocktail, one beer and two entrees- mine which left me feeling nauseas the rest of the night and ended up throwing away most of sadly enough. My husband had the swordfish which only came with 5 bite size chunks of meat that were overpowered by the vegetables.
