We should help and support our local businesses and this cafe is a little gem,owned and run by a great couple you give a great service and amazing home cooked food ,if ur feeling hungry and in barking deffo worth checking out.

Used to eat in here years ago when I lived in Barking was back in the area so thought I would see if it was still around. It is and still offers great breakfast and lunches and does real bubble and squeak. Top notch. Would totally recommend

Enjoyed humongous breakfast on a nice Saturday morning.. decent food and great ambience.. priced a bit higher.. kind enough to customise the menu as per customer choice..

Great gamily cafe with friendly staff and good food run by Al who is the owner.
Free WiFi here too.
Only downside is limited parking, unless you park in one of the main car parks dotted around the high street such as the Vicarage Fields in the street oppsite the cafe.
I would reccomended this as a place to take a break and recharge during your shopping trip.. Or even for a brunch in the morning after.

Come to Als at least once a month to treat ourselves. The food never let's you down :) and the staff are lovely. I've recommended it to my colleagues and friends, and wouldn't hesitate recommending to anyone

Very friendly atmosphere & they give u a generous helping of whatever u order, their steak & kidney pie with mash is awesome I would definitely recommend this place to anyone the only problem is their toilet is situated outside in the back yard & is not suitable for wheelchair users but they can always go across to vicarage fields & use the disabled toilet there otherwise Al's Diner is a great place to eat

A proper old school cafe serving good food at a great price. I went here once with a large group - they were not phased and were very nice to our large group that included children. One of the best in the local area.
