Arthur's

This place is fantastic. We came for a night away in Bakewell having not been before and booked Arthur's based on reviews and the menu. We were not disappointed. Front of house staff were friendly and provided excellent service. The food was outstanding, beautiful flavours and presentation and portion sizes were perfect. The selection of drinks on is fantastic too. Lovely choice of cocktails, beers and spirits. When we next come to bakewell we will definitely be dining here again. Wholeheartedly recommend.

Where to start? The front of house staff are excellent - attentive but not pushy - and really helpful. The food is just fantastic. Portion size is perfect, and all of our food was well presented, tasty and worth every penny. Booked this place on nothing more than the reviews here and really happy that my parter and I came to Bakewell and didn’t miss out on this restaurant.

This is a gem, very deceiving from the outside if you make the effort to step inside you will not be dissappointed the cocktails and food are both top Notch and all obviously made fresh to order, the service is both friendly and professional. It has a nice lunch/drinks area as you go in but then also beautiful restaurant out of sight. Can’t wait to return.

Professional waitress 'Sky ' A superb meal in a warm friendly atmosphere. Beautiful location and our waitress of the evening 'Sky' was very attentive and took everything in her stride with a smile. Could not fault the experience of Arthur's. We were on a weekend away in Buxton so decided to head over to Bakewell for some dinner and stumbled across Arthur's. The food was nothing short of exceptional in a beautiful setting that you would not expect from the outside. A wonderful family run resturant with a story. We had the risotto balls and textures of mushrooms to start. Both such exceptional favours and different to what we expected (in a good way!). We have the braised lamb and steak for main. Both dishes were remarkable and you could tell all local produce. Both cuts of meat absolutely full of flavour and the little detail like the bowl of saucy tomatoes with the steak really made it next level. For dessert we tried thier take on a banana bakewell tart with an Irish coffee to share. Once again, both absolutely delicious and different. Don't forget as well to get the cocktails, a passionfrut mojito and a carabean ice tea were our choices. So much flavour in large glasses so great value too. Highly recommend a trip to Arthur's! We will be going back again. Not only was it all remarkable it was very reasonably priced too. Thank you for such a great experience. We'll be back 😊
