High Test is a tiny little joint with sandwiches that never fail to please. The Cuban is my go to, but everything I've tried is great. I've successful resisted their custom ice cream sandwiches, but every time I go in, they're calling my name. One day, sandwiches, one day.

It’s quick, easy and the staff are very friendly! The food is all tasty and the everything’s fairly priced. They have these incredible looking ice cream sandwiches that I can’t wait to try!

Love this place. I have driven 2.5 hours to Bryson City just for the hard tops (ice cream sandwiched between 2 cookies). Took 7 home one time, and they survived the trip packed in ice by the owner. Was soooooo glad when the Asheville location opened. Now the drive is little over an hour. Since there aren't any tables inside, I hope they add some outside seating. Would be really nice during the Spring and Fall!!! Sandwiches are awesome, fries are hefty portions (wife and I split one order). Recommend Cuban or Italian!!!

Great sandwich shop. Fresh. Fast. Salads are generous. Wish they had more pre-planned veggie options. They haven't yet created the same loyalty in Asheville that they realize in BC, though I suspect that will come with a little more time.

Definitely recommend!
I enjoy that they have really solid salads here as I don't eat bread. Pretty well any sandwich can be served as a salad and they have many very good quality salads to order. My ONLY pedantic complaint is they serve a Carolina Dog that is not a Carolina Dog which is chili, slaw, onions, and mustard (theirs is only slaw and mustard, chili is extra).

Freshly made sandwiches with generous portions are the hallmark of a good deli, and High Test doesn't disappoint. But the handmade ice cream sandwiches in a variety of flavors appear to be their secret special treat. Next time you have a birthday to celebrate, try them out...you know i will.

I work next door to this place and it's super convenient! Not to mention the food is amazing... The folks are great and they're fast! I ordered the Reuben today with some Chili Cheese Fries. Best I've had yet! Great work guys!

I had the Chicago dog. Really good foot long. I'll be going back. The menu is BIG. Kinda overwhelming.

Excellent sandwich in an unassuming location. Zero seating, but we were able to sit at the outdoor tables at the brewery next door, so that wasn't a problem. Delicious food and good portions.

Don't miss this wonderful new place on southslope! My salad was extremely fresh. The vegetables and feta was bountiful. The cranberry/citrus dressing is amazing. Portions are very large. I also snagged a fried pickle from my coworker....they are great & the spicy dip is on point. Save room for one of the ice cream sandwiches! These are not the ones from your childhood. They are very large - with homemade cookies & creamy ice cream - so get one to share.
