All Day Darling

Wow…I loved coming to All Day Darling. I ordered the basic breakfast sandwich but with a croissant which I loved. I wish they would have had a more of q breakfast potatoes but the tatortots were excellent. You order your food up at the counter and they bring your food out to your table. The service is fast. The place is very nice. We sat outside but they do that indoor seating. I would definitely come back for that breakfast sandwich.

Beyond delicious food that is healthy too (depending on what you get)! I'm not generally a breakfast person, but All Day Darling hits it out of the park. Gluten free fried chicken is not easy to find, and they do it particularly well there. It's similar to chicken karaage if you've had that at Japanese places. Rice is not usually something worth reviewing, but the bamboo rice in their Thunderbowl is a real standout. The combo of gf fried chicken, curly kale, bamboo rice, and fermented gingery red cabbage was perfection. I would get the Thunderbowl again any day of the week. Their gluten free pancakes were complex and satisfying. They're nicely spiced, and the seasonal fruit compote topping was much better than a generic dollop of jam. My partner was also able to get a vegetarian protein substitution of tempeh on his breakfast sandwich, and he was very pleased with the flavors and textures. The staff were quick, efficient and polite. It's a well-run restaurant. All Day Darling may just be the best restaurant I've been to in Asheville, particularly as someone with a wheat allergy.

There's a reason for the line out the door and it's not just hype. The lattes are delicious. The food is delicious. There are some excellent vegetarian and gluten-free plates here. You lose nothing in taste or flavor regardless of your preference in gluten-free, vegetarian, or meat options. I recommend the Buddha bowl and the avocado toast if you love flavorful food 😋 👌

This place is super cute and has lots of food and drink options. They offer indoor and outdoor seating. I stopped in this morning for a coffee, get some work done, and to eat lunch. They only have a few seats that have plugs for charging laptops and do not have a public wifi. Their line was very busy as it got closer to lunch time, so plan accordingly. (It would have been awesome to order food online while I was working instead of standing in the line.) Everyone was very friendly!

One of our local favorites. It’s nice to enjoy breakfast then take a walk through Montford. We come for breakfast and lunch, though dinning for dinner on the patio would be lovely. They have a nice selection of gluten free options on the menu. Cocktails & coffee too. The line moves fast and there’s plenty of seating inside and out.
